Ukrainian Immigration-related Legal Services

People evacuating from crisis in another country must take certain steps to legally remain in the United States for any length of time. The complex and time-consuming processes are challenging for people without law degrees, especially if they speak a different first language.

The Ukrainian Immigration-related Legal Services program helped people who fled the war in Ukraine to navigate American immigration procedures and build a better life.

WisTAF launched this effort in 2023, utilizing federal funds from the Office of Refugee Resettlement and made available through the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families' Bureau of Refugee Programs. The program sunsetted in 2025.

The agencies that provided immigration related legal services to eligible Ukrainians under this grant program were:
