Ukrainian Immigration-related Legal Services

People evacuating from crisis in another country must take certain steps to legally remain in the United States for any length of time. The complex and time-consuming processes are challenging for people without law degrees, especially if they speak a different first language.

The Ukrainian Immigration-related Legal Services program helps people who have fled the war in Ukraine to navigate American immigration procedures and build a better life.

WisTAF launched this effort in 2023, utilizing federal funds authorized by the United States Congress in 2022 and made available through the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.

The agencies providing immigration related legal services to eligible Ukrainians under this grant program are:
